Before the double Poto ride
Singlespeeder Scott:
"You have any Advil? My knee is hurting"
Me:
"No, but you should ride gears, then you could shift."
Scott:
"I don't th... hmmmm.......... maybe."

During the ride:
Somehow everything felt odd from the start. I guess I'm not used to riding MI singletrail any more, the lines I took wouldn't even have been appropriate with 10 inches of travel... finally I realized I had too much pressure in my fork (and in my stomach), and once I got rid of it I had fun again.

During the walk:
Yep, we had to walk parts of the Poto. Glad we didn't have to swim, the water was only knee deep - or 29" disc brake deep. I still can't believe Scott tried to ride this section...

At the end of the ride:
Some guy passed me, which I don't like (not even when I'm planning on going slow). I quickly changed my mind about taking it easy and stayed on his wheel - just to find out it's possible to take lines even worse than mine...

Double Poto? Sounds boring.

I am glad to see you signed up for the Lumberjack 100.

Now, can we get Jimmy to sign up?

See ya Saturday.
