Don't even read it

No good news from the race. Short summary - warning - it might be boring if you read the blog more often, because it's pretty much like the last couple of race reports:
--> ride 4 hours
--> then all of a sudden start to feel bad
--> puke out everything I had to eat/drink since the start of the race
--> wrap myself in blankets to control the cold shivers (at 80 F ambient)
--> take a one hour break/nap
--> go out for another lap
--> feels like someone drained all the engergy from my legs
--> I must also look bad, one medic at an aid-station yells at my "Are you OK?" when I ride by
--> it's not fun any more
--> pack up the bus and drive home

And to top it all off:
--> Just when I parked the Vanagon in front of the house a cooling line blew up.

I'm really mad, I prepped so well for the event, felt great and was really looking forward to kick some ass, and then my systems shuts down - again. I think I'm done racing for a while....

Alex, sorry to hear you had a bad race. I saw your van as I rode past on a few of my laps and intended to come by and say hello after the race. Then I saw you sitting in your chair and figured you weren't feeling well. Next lap you were gone! Maybe next year...Chico's June race is the largest in North America! I'd be interested to hear what you thought of the course. Lots of climbing huh!

That's a bummer Alex.

You should come hang out with us and do the Kisscross kickoff ride. I think that it's Sept 9th!!?? It's a few hours of riding on dirt roads, then barbecuing and beer!

Steve,

the course was cool. I like climbing and the single trail had some nice twists to it. Also a good variety of a little more technical stuff and fast sections.

SM100:
Hmm, call me a pussy or whatever you want, but I think I'll skip the racing for a while...

Dude,

Come do the Kiss Cross kick-off ride! It isn't a race, and if you aren't racing, you can drink some beer with us. Team Founder's is the coolest! Plus, chicks dig beer jersey's... :)

I'm getting tired of "not even reading it". Are you adopting the "one post a month" strategy, to save energy, so you can finish a race? :-O

Happy Birthday Alex!

I was talking to Robert H today and he did verify Alex sightings. Maybe someday he'll turn up in public again.

Hey all you Alex fans...

I rode with Alex on Sat. Sept 30th.

He seemed perfectly normal. Just like that Alex we all know and love. So I really don't think aliens have taken over his body or anything. Still, I'm gona keep watching and observing just in case.
