Wilderness 101
You guys out there in the great bike mountain bike world will have to race without me. I decided it's too far away, and why should I drive so far when there is a 12 h race the same day pretty much just around the corner? Race fast, race safe!
So I'm planning on racing the 12 h of Ithaca this weekend, run by local funpromotions. It'll only be a training ride... a 24 h race is just around the corner, so better get tuned in for that!
Even though I only rode 4.46 miles yesterday to get some breakfast, I'm as sore as I haven't been in a long time. Did some carpentry/trim work at a friends house yesterday for many hours, and I ended up running up and down the stairs all day long. Would have been easier to haul that saw up to the floor that we worked in...

Well the heck with you then. Good luck with the two-four.

Hey, are you doing Shenadoah? I'm starting to think that I might want to go do it.
Have you been to Ithaca before? Be prepared to get dizzy, it's mostly singletrack packed into a small area with no elevation gain. I think the total climbing is around 40 feet per lap, and all in one hill. With the predicted rain this week it could be swampy or mucky. Can't wait!
