Low mileage week
Went out on Thursday with the roadies out of American Cycle & Fitness in Pontiac. 2 hours, medium pace. Tried to hang with the fast guys at the beginning, but that didn't work out. Dropped back to the chase group. One of those guys decided his goal for next year will be riding his mountainbike at the roadie-ride. But he quickly changed his mind since he didn't know how the heck he would do that.
Fun Weekend-Roadtrip with Jim in the Vanagon to the High Country Pathway. It's an 80 mile singletrail loop about 4 hours north from here. We had an organized group-ride on Saturday. Met a lot of people from 2 years ago, but also some newbies. Like this one local yocal Doug that decided to pass me on the trail, and he didn't know that I don't like to be passed. So he did that and learned his lesson. Guess who finished first?
Overall the day on the trail was perfect, it was slow twisty moving. 45 miles in 5+ hours. The pace was easy, not one drop of sweat in my sunglasses, and that was the goal for the day (maybe I should get my HR monitor fixed and check the HR instead...)
