I'm still riding

Just finished a fairly easy week with around 200 miles overall - and more than half of them were done on Saturday.

Sunday and Monday were "no bike" days for me. I drove to Upstate NY too meet up with some friends from Germany. I decided to leave the bike at home, otherwise I just want to go riding and forget about those guys. So we drank and ate instead. The last non-alcoholic beverage I had on Sunday was at 10:30 AM. And Monday started with coffee, followed by wine tasting at 11 in the morning.

Tonight I went out with about 40 roadies - the Birmingham "B" group. I felt great, we rode just over 2 hours and averaged 21.5 mph. Funny, I almost got bored once in a while and wished for a faster pace. I try to go out with those guys a couple more times, and then maybe join the "A" group for mucho leg pain... if you wonder: no, I still don't have a roadbike, but riding the MTB at that pace is fun as well.

Oh - it's officially hot hot hot now in Michigan...
